Find authentic adventure while learning traditional sailing and rowing.
Find out how to participate
Our mission is to teach people about the maritime history of the Great Lakes prior to Confederation. To do this, we offer hands-on sailing and rowing lessons aboard our boat. Our regularly-scheduled events are available to anyone interested in participating. No experience is required. It’s a small boat, so space is limited and allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, but there will be many scheduled events in a season. Come sail with us, try it out, and if you like it, come back for more. There’s always something new to learn.
If you enjoy your initial experiences and want to sail regularly, consider becoming a Member of the Society. Members get priority access to our events and are offered space on the boat in advance of non-members.
For a fully immersive experience, attend our reenactment events. These events are held at historic sites and aim to recreate various aspects of life and naval combat during the War of 1812.
